The Association of German Foundations organises the annual two-day German Foundation Day with around 1,800 participants. In 2026, the Foundation Day took place on 20 and 21 May in Hamburg. On the day before the Foundation Day, iRights.Lab organised the Innovation Track, a pre-event on the topic of "Innovation and AI in the German foundation landscape" with around 90 participants on behalf of the Association. The exclusive event invited participants to think together, try out new perspectives and engage in strategic dialogue: In workshops, discussions and with impulses, we explored together how foundations can organise their work in an AI-competent, responsible and future-oriented way.
