In light of the coronavirus pandemic, the German Foundation for Monument Protection (DSD) celebrated the Open Monument Day 2020 for the first time with digital formats. We supported the DSD in designing, implementing and running the event, including offering a series of online seminars on planning, implementing and following up on digital offers. We also set up a dedicated technical hotline to answer questions from organisers and participants, not only in 2020 but also in 2021. Since 2023 and continuing in the current year, we have been building on this successful cooperation by supporting the Foundation in reviewing and approving organisers' submissions for the Open Monument Day.
