Handling their own research data is a central task for researchers, and the associated need for guidance and digital services in the field of research data management is steadily increasing. This applies not least to legal and ethical aspects of handling research data.

For this reason, we were commissioned by the European University Viadrina Foundation to develop and implement a legal and ethical first- and second-level support programme. This programme is intended to be used by eight state-funded universities in the state of Brandenburg in the context of research data management.
