Former Federal Minister for Family Affairs Franziska Giffey held a press conference to introduce the Innovation Office of the Federal Ministry for Families, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ) and its work. Philipp Otto, head of the Innovation Office, explained its working methods and projects.
The BMFSFJ has commissioned iRights.Lab to run the Innovation Office. Together with the Digital Society Working Group at the BMFSFJ, we pursue our mission of shaping an innovative, digital social policy.
One of the key measures was the two-day Opportunity hackathon. More than 100 committed participants from civil society developed ideas and prototypes for a modern, digitally supported social policy. Many of these approaches were subsequently further developed and implemented together with the Innovation Office of the Federal Ministry for Families, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ).
