In summer 2024, the German Mobility Award (DMP) called on companies, start-ups, networks, initiatives from the mobility and digital sector as well as municipalities and public authorities to submit their innovative projects. The ninth award ceremony was held in October 2024. This was the third time that we had organised the event together with the German Informatics Society (GI). Dr Volker Wissing, Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and Transport, presented the awards to the winners during the Digital Summit in Frankfurt am Main. More than 200 companies, start-ups and municipalities had submitted their pioneering concepts. A jury of experts selected the outstanding projects in the categories Digital Transformation and AI, New Mobility Solutions and Design and Practical Applications. Attendees were also able to vote for their favourites for the Audience Award on site and via livestream. The award ceremony provided for stimulating discussions about the future of mobility and promoted an intensive exchange between participants, jury members and experts.
