For a fair AI law: innovative theses on data protection, remuneration and labelling

Category
Professional publication

How can the regulation of generative AI be made fit for the future? What does fair compensation for the economic and social disruption caused by AI systems look like? What could a modern data protection law look like that strikes a good balance between technological progress and the individual interests of citizens? And what objectives should ideally form the basis of mandatory AI labelling?

These and other questions were at the centre of discussions held with experts, stakeholders and AI users from various sectors in three future scenarios as part of the accompanying research project "Generative AI - Innovation and Law in Work Processes". The results are three thesis papers on the topics of data protection, remuneration and labelling. They contain fundamental considerations from a socio-political and legal perspective, venture thought experiments and offer innovative solutions.

All position papers are available free of charge under the open licence CC-BY 4.0 and can be downloaded here in German:

The project, which also produced the thesis papers, is funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR).
