In the pre-digital world, our normative rules of behaviour evolved gradually over the course of several centuries - time that the relatively young digital world simply has not had yet. There is still considerable need for discussion about what constitutes acceptable behaviour in today's social context, for example when it comes to handling data. As part of an extensive project commissioned by the German Institute for Trust and Security on the Internet (DIVSI), we investigated the key questions and developed concrete proposals for solutions.
