Digitalisation and data protection in schools have become a major focus of education policy in the last two years. What is the current situation in schools and what are the mains challenges? Our position paper provides answers to these questions based on expert interviews with stakeholders in the education sector and presents 10 approaches to implementing data protection and strengthening digitalisation in schools. Special consideration is given to the needs of those involved.
