Dr Nikolai Horn works in the Research & Projects department at iRights.Lab.
He is:
- Philosopher, worked at the Institute for Public Law at the University of Bonn (Di Fabio Chair) after completing his studies and obtained an interdisciplinary doctorate.
- He has been involved in digital ethics and data protection for years, both full-time and part-time.
- well acquainted with the issues of digital sovereignty, data-driven governance and the AI approach in the public sector
- since 2024 - as from 2020 to 2022 - head of the Digital Ethics working group of the non-profit network for the digital society Initiative D21
- since 2025 Lecturer at the Federal University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in the field of digital ethics
He can:
- Synthesise political challenges, legal frameworks, ethical principles and technological possibilities.
- give presentations, write essays and articles, build and maintain networks.
- be enthusiastic about all sorts of things and develop ideas spontaneously.
