Liv­ing the good (fam­i­ly) life in a dig­i­tal society

Dig­i­tal­iza­tion presents new chal­lenges in every area of life, includ­ing fam­i­ly life. This brochure sum­ma­rizes the results of an expert work­shop that iRights.Lab con­duct­ed on behalf of the Fed­er­al Min­istry of Fam­i­ly Affairs in coop­er­a­tion with the Zen­trale Intel­li­genz Agen­tur (ZIA), a Berlin-based think tank.

How do fam­i­lies suc­cess­ful­ly adapt to life in a dig­i­tal soci­ety? How can their qual­i­ty of life be improved through dig­i­tal­iza­tion? How can dig­i­tal­iza­tion help par­ents in their quest to har­mo­nize work and fam­i­ly life? These and other key ques­tions were put to the panel of experts invit­ed to an inten­sive work­shop. The aim: devel­op strate­gies for liv­ing and inter­act­ing with dig­i­tal tech­nolo­gies in a fam­i­ly set­ting and to derive from this sev­er­al key points that high­light the need for polit­i­cal action in this arena.
