Accompanying research on the future of mobility
iRights.Lab is launching a new project—Move Mobility (MoMo)—with the support of the BMVI. The aim of MoMo is to make the projects and innovations financed by the mFUND (Modernitätsfonds) even more visible to project partners and citizens while developing them further.
With the mFUND (Modernitätsfonds) research initiative, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) has been funding research and development projects relating to digital data-based applications for mobility 4.0 since 2016. The projects funded are highly innovative and practice-oriented. Nevertheless, their content, their impact, the underlying issues, the topics engaged and the results produced have not yet been made sufficiently visible to the actors involved and the interested public. Citizens, who will ultimately benefit from these innovations in their everyday lives, also need better understandable information in order to follow the specialist debate, to participate in it and to help shape the future of mobility.
With our new project Move Mobility, we have set ourselves the goal of extensively documenting the innovations generated by the funding initiative and presenting them in a multimedia form. We also aim to better network the various projects financed by the mFund and to generate new potential through synergies. Our concern is to further develop ideas, concepts and projects for an intelligent and fair mobility of the future. Through a versatile communication strategy, we hope to more involve the various players in the broader public discourse and to work together on joint solutions.
The project team is developing a digital networking and communication platform. In addition, interactive and participatory networking formats are being planned, in order to facilitate exchange both on- and offline. Through the content and support that it lends, Move Mobility thus plays a central role in helping to further develop the mFUND and, by extension, the digital strategy of the German Federal Government.
