Thinking and acting in a digital world

We make digitalisation an opportunity

It is in our DNA to shape the processes of change associated with digitisation in such a way that they can unfold their positive effects for everyone and in a comprehensive way. In doing so, we also have an eye on possible risks, but we do not let this slow us down. This principle runs like a red thread through all our work. It forms the foundation of our consulting and the strategies we design. It is reflected in our analyses and our concepts. It is also firmly anchored in our studies, analyses and reports. This is the expectation we have of ourselves and against which we measure ourselves every day.

We shape public discourse

Changing conditions require the negotiation of a new social consensus. We moderate these communication processes, drawing on our many years of experience in the conception, organisation and implementation of a wide range of dialogue formats: These can be expert workshops, living labs with those affected, conferences for a specialist audience, an online survey or a strategically placed evening event aimed at a broad audience. We orchestrate a mix of target-oriented, coordinated measures and include the relevant stakeholders in the discourse according to the thematic requirements. We connect the most diverse players — especially those who do not normally talk to each other.

We connect research and practice

Digital technologies are developing rapidly — all over the world, the digital future is being shaped at full speed. Politicians have recognised the importance of the changes brought about by digitalisation and are strengthening innovative developments with funding programmes at national and European level. We contribute our expertise to these processes by conducting applied research ourselves or by supporting funding programmes through accompanying research. In addition, we use topic-specific monitoring to observe current developments in research and summarise them in a practice-oriented manner.

We explain complicated things simply and comprehensibly

Our interdisciplinary approach allows us a comprehensive perspective on complex issues. What makes us unique is that we are not only able to mediate between the various specialist areas — we translate content into exactly the language that our respective target group speaks. This results in brochures, websites, multimedia content, books, webinars… Whether digital format or classic print, proven medium or innovative approach — the decisive factor for us is where and how we reach the recipients of our messages. This is exactly where we pick them up.

We promote the participation of everyone in topics relevant to the future

We don’t just talk about digitalisation, we design it. In doing so, we take all stakeholders along and involve them in our work. So we do not talk about people — we talk WITH them. For us, participation means entering into partnerships at eye level. This applies equally to the cooperation with our clients and sponsors and to the people we address with our projects. We attach great importance to involving groups that are normally difficult to reach, and we use activating formats that benefit broad and comprehensive participation. Depending on the target group, this can be a workshop or an online survey, a competition or a barcamp.

We guide digitization processes

The current upheavals mean change. While in our view this means a positive outlook into the future, these upheavals often cause uncertainty elsewhere. That is quite normal. Many organizations find it difficult to translate the changed framework conditions into new structures and processes. This is exactly where we come in and can play out our strengths to the benefit of our partners. We accompany these change processes by setting up and managing new structures, implementing classic change management, designing and implementing training and further education measures, designing concepts for adapted organisational processes and providing advice on their implementation.
