We make dig­i­tal­i­sa­tion an opportunity

It is in our DNA to shape the process­es of change asso­ci­at­ed with digi­ti­sa­tion in such a way that they can unfold their pos­i­tive effects for every­one and in a com­pre­hen­sive way. In doing so, we also have an eye on pos­si­ble risks, but we do not let this slow us down. This prin­ci­ple runs like a red thread through all our work. It forms the foun­da­tion of our con­sult­ing and the strate­gies we design. It is reflect­ed in our analy­ses and our con­cepts. It is also firm­ly anchored in our stud­ies, analy­ses and reports. This is the expec­ta­tion we have of our­selves and against which we mea­sure our­selves every day.

We shape pub­lic discourse

Chang­ing con­di­tions require the nego­ti­a­tion of a new social con­sen­sus. We mod­er­ate these com­mu­ni­ca­tion process­es, draw­ing on our many years of expe­ri­ence in the con­cep­tion, organ­i­sa­tion and imple­men­ta­tion of a wide range of dia­logue for­mats: These can be expert work­shops, liv­ing labs with those affect­ed, con­fer­ences for a spe­cial­ist audi­ence, an online sur­vey or a strate­gi­cal­ly placed evening event aimed at a broad audi­ence. We orches­trate a mix of tar­get-ori­ent­ed, coor­di­nat­ed mea­sures and include the rel­e­vant stake­hold­ers in the dis­course accord­ing to the the­mat­ic require­ments. We con­nect the most diverse play­ers — espe­cial­ly those who do not nor­mal­ly talk to each other.

We con­nect research and practice

Dig­i­tal tech­nolo­gies are devel­op­ing rapid­ly — all over the world, the dig­i­tal future is being shaped at full speed. Politi­cians have recog­nised the impor­tance of the changes brought about by dig­i­tal­i­sa­tion and are strength­en­ing inno­v­a­tive devel­op­ments with fund­ing pro­grammes at nation­al and Euro­pean level. We con­tribute our exper­tise to these process­es by con­duct­ing applied research our­selves or by sup­port­ing fund­ing pro­grammes through accom­pa­ny­ing research. In addi­tion, we use topic-spe­cif­ic mon­i­tor­ing to observe cur­rent devel­op­ments in research and sum­marise them in a prac­tice-ori­ent­ed manner.

We explain com­pli­cat­ed things sim­ply and comprehensibly

Our inter­dis­ci­pli­nary approach allows us a com­pre­hen­sive per­spec­tive on com­plex issues. What makes us unique is that we are not only able to medi­ate between the var­i­ous spe­cial­ist areas — we trans­late con­tent into exact­ly the lan­guage that our respec­tive tar­get group speaks. This results in brochures, web­sites, mul­ti­me­dia con­tent, books, webi­na­rs… Whether dig­i­tal for­mat or clas­sic print, proven medi­um or inno­v­a­tive approach — the deci­sive fac­tor for us is where and how we reach the recip­i­ents of our mes­sages. This is exact­ly where we pick them up.

We pro­mote the par­tic­i­pa­tion of every­one in top­ics rel­e­vant to the future

We don’t just talk about dig­i­tal­i­sa­tion, we design it. In doing so, we take all stake­hold­ers along and involve them in our work. So we do not talk about peo­ple — we talk WITH them. For us, par­tic­i­pa­tion means enter­ing into part­ner­ships at eye level. This applies equal­ly to the coop­er­a­tion with our clients and spon­sors and to the peo­ple we address with our projects. We attach great impor­tance to involv­ing groups that are nor­mal­ly dif­fi­cult to reach, and we use acti­vat­ing for­mats that ben­e­fit broad and com­pre­hen­sive par­tic­i­pa­tion. Depend­ing on the tar­get group, this can be a work­shop or an online sur­vey, a com­pe­ti­tion or a barcamp.

We guide dig­i­ti­za­tion processes

The cur­rent upheavals mean change. While in our view this means a pos­i­tive out­look into the future, these upheavals often cause uncer­tain­ty else­where. That is quite nor­mal. Many orga­ni­za­tions find it dif­fi­cult to trans­late the changed frame­work con­di­tions into new struc­tures and process­es. This is exact­ly where we come in and can play out our strengths to the ben­e­fit of our part­ners. We accom­pa­ny these change process­es by set­ting up and man­ag­ing new struc­tures, imple­ment­ing clas­sic change man­age­ment, design­ing and imple­ment­ing train­ing and fur­ther edu­ca­tion mea­sures, design­ing con­cepts for adapt­ed organ­i­sa­tion­al process­es and pro­vid­ing advice on their implementation.
