iRights.Lab at media.innovations

Philipp Otto, director of iRights.Lab, spoke about “Content-Blockchain – an ecosystem for the distribution of digital content” at this year’s media innovation day media.innovations of the Bavarian State Center for New Media (BLM).

Every year, the media.innovations presents not only exciting start-ups but also new technical opportunities to changes and further developments in the world of media and journalism in particular. The technical innovations in the world of media require sustainable tools and business models. On 7th of march 2018, many lectures, workshops and podium discussions focused on these challenges and its different perspectives.

In cooperation with numerous partners, iRights.Lab develops a prototypical tool with the Content Blockchain Project, which offers innovative and simple solutions for managing and identifying digital content as well as facilitating the handling of user licenses. The goal is to use this simplification to make the use and distribution of content more efficient in the future and to create a basis for automated processes. On the podium, Philipp Otto discussed this very topics with Richard Gutjahr and Hendrik Hey, the CEO of World of Wonder.
