iRights.Lab publishes 5th Data Governance Report
As part of the mFUND research initiative, the modernization fund of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI), the iRights.Lab is developing a consulting model to enable organizations to achieve self-data governance. The interim results are presented in regular reports. The current fifth data governance report deals with the complex topic of data protection.
Data protection — the term initially causes discomfort and uncertainty for many. In the current Data Governance Report we provide a good overview. We present three perspectives on why we should concern ourselves with data protection at all: a pragmatic, a social and a corporate perspective.
We also provide assistance: Not everyone immediately has to be a data protection expert. After all, data protection is an ongoing process, and the correct implementation in the organization can be worked out step by step. A constant companion through this process is the data protection checklist, which provides a basis for a confident discussion.
A further highlight of the report is the DSVGO Refresh Quiz, in which you can check and test your own level of knowledge and find out where there are still gaps in knowledge regarding the basic data protection regulation.
