Conference: “Groundbreaking Journalism – At the Intersection of Man and Machine”

Science fiction author William Gibson summed it up: “The future is already here — it’s just not very evenly distributed”. This famous bon mot was the headline of the conference “Groundbreaking Journalism – At the Intersection of Man and Machine”, which iRights.Lab organised together with the Vodafone Institute for Society and Communications on 3 April 2014 in Berlin.

How do algorithms influence our perceptions? What software does journalism need? Are drones the recording devices of the future? These questions and others were discussed with journalists, developers and media managers from Germany and around the world. The event took place in English.
